Jon Wright

I started drawing from a very young age and loved drawing ships; in fact I still have a picture of a ship I drew when I was about 8. I failed my GCE O level Art at school because my painting wasn’t good enough as the only thing my art teacher taught me was how to draw perspective and I now love a perspective challenge. I have always been inspired by Canaletto because of his perspective and detail. I wanted to be an architect but never made it, which is why I prefer drawing and painting buildings.
